Professional subtitler for translating Malayalam film dialogue to English subtitles.
We need a professional Subtitler / Translator to create English subtitles for 3 Malayalam feature films being prepared for international festival submission.
Requirements:
- Native-level proficiency in both Malayalam and English
- Previous film subtitling experience (not auto-translation)
- Understanding of subtitle timing and reading speed conventions
- Knowledge of SRT/ASS format and subtitle software
- Sensitivity to cultural nuances in translation
Deliverables:
- 3 feature films (total ~7 hours)
- Timed SRT files + review copy
- Festival submission deadline: 6 weeks
